Until now, scheduling jobs has been a case of choosing a single date. Nice and simple!
However, this simple approach didn't always reflect the real-life complexities of scheduling. For example, you might have a job that takes place over multiple days or where you need to specify a start and end time. You might also want to make sure that surveyors complete jobs in a specific order, for example, if you've planned an efficient vehicle route for your staff.
Our latest dashboard and mobile app release (v1.0.90) improves how scheduling and ticks off a couple of long-standing feature requests. So you can schedule jobs in a way that feels more natural and accurate. Now you can:
Releasing this feature hasn't been an easy ride. In fact, it's taken over a year. First, we started creating a diary, which became a monster undertaking. Then we tried calendar integration —this didn't work well and lacked the "magic" we pride ourselves on. So, we went back to the drawing board and what we've ended up with is both simpler and flexible. That's how I know we've nailed it this time, simplicity is what our clients have always loved about Flow Mobile Surveying!
Early feedback from clients is positive. One of our clients (who had been really struggling with scheduling) said:

Other clients say a dashboard "diary" is the next logical step for scheduling, which will help reduce admin stress. So, that's a feature we'll be looking into soon.
